People are anxious about privacy and confidential issues while they rely significantly on new media. Privacy and social media platforms are interconnected each other as people expose about personal information to the public. Today, people reveal about their birthdays, phone numbers, and other background information on social media unnecessarily. Those exposures may lead to identity theft, and other forms of attacks that invade their privacy. Recently, Facebook is targeted with privacy and confidential concerns as companies can collect private information for marketing purposes. Therefore, individuals should aware of privacy issues and should manage their social networking sites secured as there are options to keep the privacy safe.
This is a concern with having social media. Everyone should be aware what information is ok to put on their social media, and what information should be kept private. Social media allows for personal information to come out by creating a bio on your profile asking for things like your address, where you go to school, relationship status', etc. Not everyone is comfortable with sharing these things, so it's nice to have an option not to disclose that information.
ReplyDeleteI 100% agree with you. It would also be nice if there are training things about keeping privacy for users so that people who did not have opportunity to learn about privacy would be careful about using social media and revealing their personal information.
