P2P


File sharing is the process of transmitting files from one computer to another by using Internet or a network.

P2P file sharing is also called peep-to-peer file sharing, is the distribution and sharing files using P2P networking technology.

 One example of P2P file sharing is Bittorrent software that allows users to download music and videos to their computer (Thompson, The Bittorent Effect). Other examples are eMule, LimeWire, or iMule.
